Hartge Speedometer

Hey guys, was just wondering whether its true that you have to get the Hartge upgraded engine conversion to be able to fit the Hartge Speedometer.
Theres a pic at this link: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1632459 Im in love with it so was just wondering if i could fit it onto my 02 4.4 X5.

Cheers.

The guage cluster doesnt look much different than the M5 / 4.8is cluster...I didnt notice the rev lights on the top of the tach.

Ok...what is up with the smile...it looks like big grin.....

I got the Hartge 320km/h speedo/cluster for my M3 and this was available separately on the catalogue, but I had to give them my oem speedo/cluster in exchange.Hartge recalibrate the speedo and have their own faces done, but they generally always use oem clusters from customers.

I was looking at the front grills. They look too close together! It looks like the oem grill openings on the bonnet were widened to accept the larger grills! They look like the 2004 x5 grills?

That's interesting...so you send them your cluster and they send you back another one with the updated gauges and the proper mileage programmed? How much for the conversion? Where did you buy through? Any pics?

This has to be done at Hartge(Beckingen,Germany) or at one of their dealers.I had mine done in Germany, in the U.K they are represented by BIRDS
OF UK.Dont know who represents them in the States!Contact them on www.hargte.de.
Forgot to mention!when you get you "new" Hartge speedo,it comes with "zero"mileage, you then have to code it at the dealer.
