Question Blower fan

Driving back from Vegas I noticed the front blower fan was not working, I pulled over and checked all the fuses and did not find anything obviously wrong with it. So I continued on driving for about an hour or so before I realized that there is air blowing out from the vents. It has been working ever since. Any idea what it is or what might have caused this?

Thanks,

Your Final Stage Resistor has failed. There is an article on how to replace it on the main page.

If you are talking about the fan in front of your radiator this is a know problem and the electric fan is known to fail. Your BMW dealer should be able to diagnose this one very easily by connecting it to their computer as the xar will store the fault in memory.... If you car is under warranty they will replace it within a few minutes.
