2000 X5 4.4i cv boot

Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I was talking to a person in a BMW dealer Ottos BMW in PA a couple of months ago. He told me about this site. I have a little problem with my car. The front driver cv boot is torn. The dealer wants a lot of money to replace it. I have done cv boots on other cars in the past. I called Bavarian autosports for pricing. They told me it is not very hard to do it yourself. If anyone knows if it is hard or easy please let me know. I am going to remove the wheel tomorrow to look at it. I just do not want to mess the whole thing up. The car has around 80,000 miles. Thanks alot. Bill
