Question D2S lamps?

Gents I presume some of you had one of these low beam lamps go before. Here in Ireland they want €129+VAT for the spare but I see some D2S on-line for €80 or so......but there are different specs for some ie GE4200 GE 10000K . whats the difference if any. The one removed is OSRAM XENARC 66040. Any info before it gets dark would be great!!
Thanks.

LOL - sucks...

Maybe it's your ballast and not your bulb - switch the working bulb into the other headlamp and see if it still works or doesnt. If it doesnt work it's your ballast and thats what you'll want to replace.

well I would think the difference is the Kelvin 10000k (useless in terms of light output). Stock is 4300k (white/yellow) but the brightest. I use 6000k (pure white) but the roads aren't that dark in NYC so I'm fine. Might even upgrade to 8000k (white/blue).

Try a google search on the one you removed, maybe you'll be able to find the specs. I believe the OSRAM is a phillips - anyone correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes, Osram and Philips are the same company and the 4300k are the stock output. If you are thinking of 10000k, then you should realize the higher kelvin you go the less brightness of the road. I am running 12000k for headlights and yes its too high of a kelvin but i got ripped off when i bought them. I have 8000k on my foglights and that justifies the headlights high kelvin because the road brights up white and blue with that combo. I would get 6000k if you doin your headlights, you do not want to risk not seeing the road especially rainy days. good luck
