Reseting the service bars

I reset the service bars in my X5 because I did not want to take my X5 in to the dealership. I had a letter come to my house saying that my car is due for inspection, but I have already reset the bars. I am thinking of going in, but would they question me on how my service bars are full? What should I use as a excuse?

thanks,
G

Did you do the service on her? Yes/No

Yes = why bring her into the dealer?
No = why did you reset the lights?

If they question your bars, you had it serviced @ an indy shop.

It's your car, you can do what you want to it, they shouldn't need to be concerned. Of course, if it is still under warranty and you worry about such a thing, you could always do what supersteve said and/or just say that you don't have a clue. You never noticed them changing.
