What is this?

Hello all,

There is this blue connector on the wire harness below my cd changer on my X5. it it blue and has a jumper plug connected to it. Does anyone kow what this is?

SES (voice) or Bluetooth module perhaps.

Naa I already have bluetooh and voice. Its an 05 model

Still could be for SES module. Bluetooth module has VR built in so there could be a connector avail for SES stand alone unit. Also the connector for SES unit is usually terminated if not installed. Does your VR work for nav?

O. I see. I haven't done the Nav retrofit yet but I heard the VR module ony works for the phone. It's really smart to bad its only phone... THe VR in my S class does phone NAV but the drawback to it is that you have to teach it every command so it recognizes your voice.. I haven't taken the time to do that but I've had a blast arguing with it..LOL
