Dinan Mods completed...on to Angel Brights now...

Just got the strut bar installed. That's it for the Dinan stuff. Going to look at angel eye options now.

Yeah, got the Dinan Stage 3 engine software. But no tranny software available for 2004-2006 models.

Nice bar Did you have to shave/cut the reservoir to clear it? If so, how difficult was it?

Looks good. What if any improvements do you get from the strut bar?

Thanks DKL. You would need to ask Dave at MotorWorks West in NJ, since his guys installed it! Pretty sure they didn't touch the reservoir, it was just a straight "bolt on". And they gave me a fresh filter for the CAI as well.

I've seen numerous opinions on this. Some of the Forum members said they did not notice any difference whatsoever. Thankfully, this has NOT been my experience. I noticed an IMMEDIATE difference. Much tighter and sportier "feel" on sharp turns, especially off-ramps and such. Less body lean as well as a tighter, continuous feedback from the steering. Perhaps it depends on which strut bar you have, as there are several makes out there.

Interestingly there is also a different feel on straightaways. If I'm going in a straight line, I can now literally let go of the steering for 20 seconds and the X will hold the line true and steady (I kid you not). Very good bang for the buck.

Thansk for your help. Im a new 06 X5 4.8is owner and am getting mod fever. I was looking into the Angelibrights as my next mod. Do you know if it is compatible with my OEM factory Xenons? Or do I even need them if my ligs are xenons?

I have currently ordered the invisions res, bsw stg I spkr and subwoofer, intravee ipod adapter. Looking forward to receiving those and getting them installed.
