Inspection I and Insp II
Just had Insp II done. Found a few warranty items, CV boot, P Steering Hose, FS unit, plus plugs, wires, oil, engine filter, regular cabin filter and cabin micro filter, injector cleaning, drive belts etc... Insp II charges totaled 800.00! |

The service and warranty booklet supplement should have the items checked in Inspection I and II.
For the X3 (which is essentially a E46 325xi), the only additional item for Inspection II is the engine air filter change. From a price standpoint, the Inspection itself should not cost much. I just had Inspection II done on the X3 @ 64.500mi. I supplied my own motor oil, changed the microfilter and engine air filter myself. Essentially, I just had them check over all the parts stated. I also had a brake fluid flush, transfer case flush, ATF flush, and 4-wheel alignment. The total cost, labor and parts inclusive, was about $762 after the 5% BMW CCA discount. Way cheaper than the dealer, who wanted $900 for Inspection alone. |

wow
Thanks, May I ask where you took it? The local 'Euro' shops here have not been all that impressive.
