This Forum is a BAD influence!!!!

When I got my X5 I was really happy with it AS IS....

After a few months on this Forum I've developed an URGE to mod it which I have been resisting till NOW!!!

My DICE kit just arrived and I can't wait for the weekend to install it. I als have this craving for anew wheels... looking at the 20" 87s.

DAMN!!!! you guys (and gals) are a BAAAAAD influence!

cmyX6go will become famous soon enough
It's a disease I tell you...But it's fun.

I too was perfectly happy with my stock '05 4.4i. And then I joined. Running boards, staggered 132s with Michelin Diamaris, chrome tail pipes. Thank God I lease. I would have kept going.

My new baby is 8 months old. I did a 24 month lease this time which makes it easier to avoid the mod bug. I just can't (won't) justify mods on a two year lease. I was itching for summer shoes this year though.

ENJOY!

lol. you aint neva lie!

I managed to hold off for about a yr.. then last year this time.. i started with the DICE with spec dock, then halogen to xenon lights. This year, I've probably already bought a high mileage e46 in MODs LOL.

There are no mods i regret though.

I am in the same vote as you. I (we, wife..lol) bought are X5 3.0i in June and i was thinking that it looks great the way it is (stock) but then i found this site and the trouble started right off the bat. I will get my DICE today in the mail and hook it up this Friday after the oil change. A couple of wks ago i found the housing unit and a BMW flash light for the glove box and hooked it up (easiest mod and will be the cheapest...LOL) and only cost ~$20.00 (10.00 for flash light and 10.00 for housing unit). Now i need the front window tinted and chrome tips for the stock muffler....Thanks everyone....LOL...my wife will love you guys in another month.

I've been on here for about three years and so far I have made no (i.e. zero) mods to any of my X5s - I sometimes feel that I am the only sane one here, or maybe that's just the madness making me delusional.......

.......however chrome exhaust pipes are tempting me
