just added 4.8 20's to my 3.0.... spare question.. help
any help would be apprecited oh yeah, X5 actually handles better and is as smooth, no felt pickup lost |

Unless you pick up a donut spare, your 17" spare is all that will fit and is just fine.

You should be OK if you use OEM size tires on those 20s. The rolling diameter should NOT be much different from the OEM 17s...so you're fine.

fronts are 275/40/20 and backs are 315/35/20

The rolling diameters for 275/40/20 = 28.661", 315/35/20 = 28.681", and 235/65/17 = 29.027". So, they are all within about 1 percent of each other. Like I said...you're fine using the OEM 17" as spare.
