I couldn't find anything on this anywhere...I have an 03 x5 with nav. when I change stations using my presets stations on the buttons on the left it takes about 20 seconds to change. Anyone else have this problem??

Turn off the rds and other radio function. It's a known bug, but I don't think BMW will do anything to fix it.

RDS seemed to do this on mine for a long time, somehow BMW magically fixed it though inadvertently when they were doing some other computer work, don't know how though.

just ignore it, eventually you get accustomed to it, but it is a known issue and BMW also knows about it and claims there is no fix as it is due to the construction of the radio system in the car

I think I turned on the rds but never tried changing stations. I will check later to see.

Well I will check later but it really won't matter for me, I mostly listen to cd or the ipod. If I do listen to the radio it is always one radio station.
