Final Stage Resistor - Yes another one!!
I've removed the blower fuse, charged the battery and all is well, so I'll go with FSR replacement - great info guys... I'm a competent DIY, so doubt once the part is sourced it will present any challenges, but reading the DIY I'm trying to get my head around where its actually located (on a RHD car)? There are references to removing centre console trim, steering cowlings, footwell lights and working around the brake and accelerator pedals, but where am I headed to put my finger on it? I know it will be obvious once the trim is off but I hate dicmantiling without need to, so humour me from the drivers seat footwell exactly where do I look?

The front FSR will be installed in the heater ductwork to the left and above your left footrest (or clutch pedal if you have manual trans).
It's fairly certain in your case that the front FSR has failed - however it's worth noting that if you have the rear climate package - there is another FSR in the ductwork to the rear passenger vents. This one is located in the rear blower fan unit (to the left of the handbrake assembly below the console storage/drink holders). You need to remove the drivers side trim of the rear centre console to get at this one. It is not an identical part to the front FSR (rear one has shorter prongs). The rear FSR is part #2 in this diagram from RealOEM (part #5 is the duct around the gear shift, part #1 is the rear blower and part #6 is the duct to the rear vent).

Thanks Brian for pointing out the location. I know where I'm headed right now to fix it.
Please don't compound the potential problems by adding a second location....it's frustrating enough...lol I'll post in due course when I pull it and replace if the problem is fixed Thanks
