Is a relay required for the HID Xenon kit I bought?

Hey guys,

I've just read the thread about converting Halogens to Xenon.

I bought this kit from that Fishcake dude from eBay.

The HID Xenons are preinstalled in the headlamp assembly.

So my question is, when I send my car off to get these babies installed, do I need to ask the auto electricians to install a relay so that the computer doesn't spit out errors? They told me they've never done an X5 installation of this sort before and its gotten me a little worried. Are these relays a simple thing most auto electricians should know about?

What should I do...?
