Something to watch out for...MyCarr Angel Eyes Review

I recently bought a 4.8is and decided to change the Angel Eyes over to the xenon color...bought a set from Jlevi for $100 and received them the other day. First impression...kinda cheap looking and the connector didn't snap onto the OEM connector, just kinda slid on and off so I had to use some electrical tape on it. Great I thought...got them installed and turned the car on...nothing...no light what so ever...got pissed...threw a wrench at the wall...took everything back apart and put the stockers back in...they light right up...damn it.

After much frustration and trying to figure out what the hell was wrong...especially since you are given absolutely NO instructions with these things(which is BS)...I decide to pull the connector apart and switch the positive and negative positions...Holy shit, some idiot assembled the connector backwards...both lights were wired wrong from the factory!! They light up and I re-install them...The light is a nicer color, but I actually think they are dimmer than the stock AE's...Overall I'm pretty disappointed, for $100 you don't get much, basically a different color, definitely no brighter though...I'm thinking that just changing out the stock bulbs for some xenon bulbs may work better, I'm going to order a couple and find out, especially since they are like $5 for gods sake...So I basically wasted 2 hours of my life installing these things that should have taken no more than 10minutes...sweet

These in my opinion, should cost no more than $25...I mean, it looks like it cost maybe a couple bucks to have them made in Taiwan...I feel bad for all the folks that shelled out $300 for the ibrights(which I would seriously hope are wired correctly!!)...Argh...I'll post up results once I try this setup with just the xenon colored stock bulbs side by side with the MyCarr LED setup...I'm interested to see the difference...

Yeah, but those are $300 for a couple lights, that's just plain dumb...plus, of the pictures I've seen, they are no better than the $100 lights(besides the fact that they might be wired correctly)

LIX5 - Stan,

Thats what I am talking about and thank you for backing me up on that......Yes they are expensive.......but if three of us have them or in Stans case will get them after seeing mine, then we must be on to something good! Alot of what is out there on EBAY or other sites are plain and simple....crap.....My whole setup from entire headlight housing to HID FOgs...is from CAE/AIB...........

I'd rather spend the money one time and have a product that is bad ass and excellent quality rather than spend money two or three times on crap product............remember that is just IMO.

Do you have a link to those xenon bulbs that you're referring to? I never knew there were aftermarket AE xenon bulbs Everything that I've seen are LED based.
