Hello all.

First post here. I should be picking up my 2000 X5 either tonight or tomorrow.

I was wondering if there is any way to find a list of options that are on the car so i know exactly everything that came on it.

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to learning as much as i can and as much as i did over on E46Fanatics from those guys.

The VIN...coupled by checking for Xenon's or Nav are quick indicators of what the car has.

Well i knew the VIN. I just wasn't sure if maybe there was a way to do it over the internet.

The car does have xenons as well as nav. So I'm guessing that it has the Prem Pack? It also has 19" wheels, but the normal prem pack steering wheel. Is the X5 the same as an E46 with different seats and steering wheel with the sport package, or does it just give you bigger wheels and suspension?

:xoutpost: The X5 seems to be like the E46's from what I've read. You do get the seat bolsters and a sport steering wheel in addition to the sports suspension and sport wheels.

I found out which packages my X5 had from here: http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/g...e53-years.html

There are a bunch of other good FAQ's on the front page too!

well after reading that link you posted. I think mine just happens to have the 19" wheels. I just have the normal steering wheel and regular seats with lumbar.

Now instead of starting a new thread I'll just ask it in hear.

Premium gas, recommended or required for the 4.4?

Hi, I personally use Premium unleaded 93 octane on both of my BMW’s and wouldn’t use anything less. However the users manual for the 2000 X5’s found below states that:

http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/BM...20-%202000.pdf

“The engine uses lead-free gasoline only. However, you can refuel with different fuel qualities since the engine is equipped with knock sensors. In order to achieve rated values for engine performance and fuel consumption: > Super lead-free premium gasoline (91 AKI). AKI = Anti Knock Index The minimum fuel quality is: > Regular lead-free gasoline (87 AKI). Because of the engine’s design, you should refuel with this gasoline only as an exception.”

I know that you mean, there are websites whre you can order those for Ford Mustangs and other americal cars. Haven't found a similar resource for the X5... can't even find production number data!

Enjoy your new ride!
