whatever they are talkin bout is somewhat false. Not the info itself. But i think the 4.8 and the 4.6 can easily compete and outrun the FX45. And the Range Rover sport i dont find that "cool" of a car either, sure it can be supercharged the zero to 60 is still around 7seconds, and im sure the handling probably compares to the 4.4...maybe i dunno lol

BMW does not have to "answer" to the FX 45 or the Land Rover. If anything Nissan and Range Rover answered to BMW's success with the X5.

Who knows... I happen to think Automobile has it wrong.

How many SAVs do they plan on producing? Isn't there a V Series as well.

My only concern is that it'll have the size and stance of a Ford Freestyle or Pacifica or MB R-Class. Not really high enough for me, and kinda long and low like a crocodile. Not a fan. My bro has a Freestyle, and it's great for him, cause he's got 2 kids under 5 years old, but it's just kinda sporty, definitely not full-on sporty.

From what I understand the FX45 and the RR sport has 0-6 times near the 4.4i. The 4.8i is faster than both of them.

There is a pic of the future X6 in this month's Roundel. I'll see if I could find it online or scan it. There are 2 variations though.

Wierd... The first pic looks like a 4 door M6, the 2nd looks like it has a bit of Lexus GS influence (but I think it looks great - my fav for sure), and the 3rd, well, it really doesn't float my boat...

Why the sudden novelty with these types of vehicles??? I can count on one hand the number of Pacificas, SRXs and FXs I see on the road in month. This is not a growing segment worthy of the time BMW (X6) and MB (R Class) are investing in them... in fact this segment already exist... they are called station wagons.
