Has anyone installed 6000k 8000k or 10,000k Hid's

Does the stock ballast work with theses applications?

You want less visible light??? 4300K is the most lumes output. If I were you and want the brightest possible bulb, I would look for the Philips 85122+

If you have D2S bulbs, they are all interchangeable. Most all HID bulbs are rated at 35W. OEM are D2S but there and many different flavors of bulbs. There are also gen 3 and gen 4 stuff out there also. Gen 4 will not work with D2S stuff. Good luck!

Seen 6000k. 6000k bulbs will upgrade stock bulbs(4300k) to slight purple look and are little brighter than 8000k(believe it ot not), and 8000k will upgrade them to a blue color.
See pic below for a comparo of 4000k(left), 6000k(middle), and 8000k(right)

No offense, but I can't imagine taking the stock BMW xenons and changing the color so that they look like they came from Ebay.

i am thinking of doing 6000K as it's still whitish/bluish. 8000K my sister have on her audi and it's terrible, as it's too blue and you cant see much, specially on a rainy night...1000k, i won't even dare..

You sir are so correct!

Here is a HID drop in

Here is the same HID kit in a good projector

No glare on my S2000 retro in the VW

6000K is ok, you do loose some visible light. The color shift does look brighter, but it is not. You are noticing the color. Anything above 6k is not safe, at that point go back to Halogen.
