I had an issue where the plastic housing that the bulb goes had soem corrosion on the connectors. I bought a new plastic housing for a few bucks and the problem never came back. If yours has signs of corrosion you can gently scrape it with a flat head screwdriver and try it again.

Same thing happened on my 911. Socket terminals were corroded. Sanded them a little bit with a file and it went away. Try that first before attempting any expensive or complex diagnoses.
