4.8is suspension not level left to right

I don't have any error codes, but when at the lowest setting the drivers side of the car is about 1" higher than the passenger side, both front and rear. The car is noticeably 'leaning' to one side.

Any ideas on how to check the sensors, or adjust it so it sits level?

Well, it appears the RF air bag is the problem. After sitting overnight it was completely deflated. It seems to hold air once it's inflated, but I'm guessing it has a leak somewhere.

Has anyone replaced a front air bag strut assembly before?

I just dropped off my 4.8is for the same problem except my driver's front airbag strut was the one leaking. I have extended warranty and they're taking care of it. It seems to be a common thing for full-air-suspension X5's.

Chris, my extended warranty does not cover the airbags. I have Western General's Premium Coverage. Nevertheless, after my mechanic did some testing, the car sits level now. He did some smoke tests on the air line and there were NO air leaks. I have the X5 back now and it rides normal and does not lean. Go figure... what's the word on your car?

Mine is a 4.4I and it only has the rear air suspension but it kind of looks like it is lower on the left then right. But I took it in and got everything fixed already and it still sits like that. Maybe its just me.

I'm starting to think that it's a normal thing for air suspension cars. I had an E-class before with air suspension and depending on the surface it was parked on, its height was never level. Only when it sat on a very level surface did it sit level all around.

I'll have to check my warranty and see if it covers air bags. I got the car through Carmax and bought their warranty which supposedly covers more than the standard BMW warranty does, so we'll see.
I'm actually having to wait 30 days for the standard Carmax warranty to run out, then I can take it to the BMW dealer and have them check it out. I don't trust Carmax to look at it.
