sirius and AUX?

My X has the BMW Sirius radio kit installed, I have been tooling around with it and Sirius seems decent, but the sound quality isn't near as good as FM or iPod.

I was wondering if it was possible for me to keep the Sirius and also install an AUX input jack in the glovebox? I also want to keep the CD changer and should add my car has DSP.

I know you can't do the BMW iPod kit and keep the CD changer, so I just wanted to double check to see if I could keep the Sirius/CD Changer and AUX? Thanks!

Also, what are my options for HD Radio? Is that even worth looking into instead of keeping the Sirius?

AUX can be added easily, however the HD Radio option will replace your CD Changer.

Is your X5 equipped with Business CD or Navigation?

I have navigation and DSP installed. It is a 2005 MY. Is there any hd radio receiver that will plug into the aux? I would like to keep the cd changer if possible.

Anything plugged into the AUX would not be "integrated". It will only be getting an audio signal.

Right, I am unfamiliar with HD Radio, is there a portable version like there used to be for portable XM radios? Is there any option to keep the CD changer and get the HD radio as well? Sirius sound quality isn't that great so I am curious to learn more about HD radio.

Thanks!

I'm sure there is, I would recommend checking with your local Radio Shack or Best Buy on portable units.

Don't confuse Sirius for having superior audio quality, sometimes it can be worse than FM. HD Radio will more time than none have better SQ than Sirius.

However there are no commercials with most programming on Sirius and the same signal is coast to coast, with HD Radio being more of a localized market.
