Front bumper removal helpneeded inside
Ok I am attempting to remove my headlights once and for all to toss in the oven and bake them at 250' for 15 min.... I have bought a number of 02 lights which have failed to baking.... So I am going with my non-sport lights, that are 01, so I have a better chance. The 02 lamps for somereason will not open correctly, as they have the glue that turns chalky instead of liquid. Maybe it is my oven, gas heated, pretty new????
The X5 has head lamp washers so I assume that I need to remove the front bumper to get the headlights out in order to prevent scratching or damage to the actual bumper (Whcih is fine as I just had a new bumper put on not too long ago). How hard is this bumper to take off (4.6 upgrade, with flares and all). Are there any tricks or any adivice that you guys that have done this over and over again can help me with? I have read as much as I can, but the step by step is very limited. |

As long as the bolts are not stripped or rusted, removing the front bumper cover is very easy and straightforward
