X5 wheel vibration
I bought a set of Wheels/Tires from 2008 BMW X5 (E70) to be installed on my 2005 X5 (E53). I have major problems with vibration at any speed. Any recommendation on the type of spacers that would help fix this problem. Thanks ![]() |

Sounds like the wheels are not balanced.Go back to the tire installer and have them check/rebalance the wheels.

And you DO need to get the correct spacers. The wheels are hub-centric and center on the hub. There are numerous mentions of this around this site with sizes, etc. I would pull up a search from the google link on the page bottom. Otherwise, someone who has them installed might chime in.

You need to get the correct rings to make the wheels hub-centric. If I'm not mistaken the E70s have a 74.1 bore. So, you need one to fit down to 72.5 which, again if I'm not mistaken, is what the E53s have.
