Where do they go?

They meaning the three important bolts I dropped down the engine bay this morning. One belonged to the Dinan Mass air chamber, that's going to be near impossible to replace. The others to went to the OEM air filter housing.

shit.

They r sitting on the reinforcement plate on the bottom of the chassis. I dropped an injection clip and thought it disappeared until I found it sitting there on aluminum

Or there in the fender wells. Take off the two 8mm screws in the tire well that holds the bumper on and there is a little pocket right behind the fenderwell

Get yourself a telescoping, magnetic wand from Sears or your favorite tool vendor. Start poking around with it in the locations mentioned above and you have a pretty good chance of recovering your dropped bolts.

Cheers,

FLi

and what's more, use that telescoping magnetic wand in the future when removing bolts from the engine to prevent ever having to do this again. Just hold the magnet next to or underneath the bolt you are removing so when it falls, it is attracted to the magnet and you just pull it out of the engine bay. I have 3 different size wand magnets because I have been in your shoes before. Good luck with it!
