Well, when you instal the aux in originally, it just pulls up in the menu. The radio sees that it is there. Since it doesn't pull up, I would try to trace it down to the other end... see where it goes.

Thank you everyone. The vehicle is dried out and not leaking at all. We had a few days of torrential rain in Miami without even one stray drop. I got plenty wet at the UM vs. FSU game though.
I gave up on what the wiring is for. I can't trace it because of how it is run. Oh well. Adam

Hey guys, PLEASE HELP ME! Im having a very similar problem identifying what cable this is and where it needs to be plugged into (red arrow). Can someone please let me know where this cable plugs into behind the glove compartment.
I have just had my GM 3 (General Module 3) repaired by Scott in California for $150 which is way cheaper than replacing new for $468 from the stealership. I recommend anyone with no interior lights with doors open + no remote key entry unlock/lock problem do the same and go to his website @ bmwgm5.com. overnight shipping and quality repair service.
