Exclamation Self-Leveling Suspension Warning

I just got a warning that said my self-leveling suspension was inactive. Turned the engine off then turned it back on and the warning was gone. Does that mean the SLS is active again? And if it is inactive, can I still drive the X5 w/o worry of any damage?

Hopefully just a momentary glitch. If the light is off then all is good again

You can take it into the dealers, if got concerns over it. They should be pretty experienced at this glich by now, some numbers of X5s has this problem. Possibly change of control module/cluster/suspension level sensors. Good luck

I got the msg on my X5 too. But mine appears to be a "special case", meaning...cannot be fixed...! Even after re-wiring the car...

As UCrew said, hopefully a glitch. If it comes on and stays on theres a little trip to the stealer involved. If it goes on, I noticed my suspension was much stiffer and the rear end sat down. I had to have a new pump installed. Hopefully just a glitch, but I think this is a common problem.
