urgent query regarding position of hand break shoe adjuster

I am just about to adjust break shoes on my X5 (UK spec 3.0d sports)

The BMW TIS DVD says to rotate the the wheel so that the hole to make the adjustment is right at the bottom i.e 6Oclock. At this position the parking break shoe adjuster should be visible via the hole in the disc.

When i pulled my Wheels off, mine were at 9 Oclock!. Is this right or the git that changed the rear pads/disc (before i bought it) made a pig's ear of the job

thanks
