DSP stands for

DiSaPeared! Some water in the battery area took out my radio module. Amp was untouched, contacts were clean, and head unit recognised it. Looked like the amp was spared. But this morning, head unit says its gone. The cargo area is not a very good place to put sensitive electronics, it think.

Try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes. When the vehicle is powered up it will send out a polling sequence on the iBus to discover what devices are present in the vehicle. Hopefully the DSP module is still functioning and it will respond to the polling sequence and the vehicle will show it as available.

That seems to have helped before. I will try it again. I am just curious though. Do you have any idea as to why it would occasionally dissapear? There is a place in CA that can repair my radio module, as long as it is not to terribly water damaged. The radio module wasnt underwater. But there was enough to get close when possibly accellerating.
