i have a slow x5 that I've borrowed from my little cousin.. i really hate it when that white x6 (pix on my avatar) tailgates me all the time.. where ever i go..

wow, reading through the first few posts in this thread made me giggle. Such old information it seems now.
Especially the info about the beam cut off NOT being installed in the factory projectors, or 04-06 factory reflectors. hehe

I have the 2005 reflector style and mine even have the beam cut off designed into it, to avoid blinding traffic.
I'm going to install H11 HID kit in about 2 weeks and see how successful they are when aimed properly.
its just funny how topic knowledge changes over years.

other than the topic of cut off, has anyone done an HID retrofit on the foglamps? looking into the space it looks very tight in there. and most likely that the factory back cover cant be used to accommodate the longer HID bulb stems. I wonder what other people have done to replace the cover

The Hoens are not HID - they are regular halogen bulbs, so no codes. Go to www.xenonmatch.com
