window regulator

Hi guys
does the window regulator controls the up and down of the glass as well as locking the door? My window gives me trouble last weekend and now my wife forgot to roll down the window. I hope I don't have to buy two different parts: One for the lock and one for the window.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Unfortunately they are two different parts... But what problems are you having with each?

My lock does not work sometimes especially in the winter time. My window refuses to go up now and it keeps making clunking sound when I try to roll up the window.

Two different issues. One is likely the door lock actuator that needs replacement and the other one is the window regulator.

my door actuator died in the first 10k miles and for a while the dealership jerry-rigged it until the part came in b/c they were low on loaner cars, I was pissed that they did that and that I had to drive back to the dealer to get the part installed b/c it's 25 miles from my house.
