Any advantage of installing 4.6is muffler on a 4.4i?
I have been debating installing the complete 4.6is exhaust/mufflers on my 4.4. I love the look of the exhaust tips, and I may just install those alone...however is there any advantage of swapping out the complete exhausts?? I would think it's somewhat lighter and sounds better but is that it?? Any gain in power at all?

The biggest advantage I can think of is they just flat out look better

Any horsepower gains from an exhaust system are generally negligible.

But...does it even fits? I thought the exhaust on the 4.6is/4.8is versions are bigger? Or it's just with the 4.8s?

Oops! Wrong info there! pardon me!
So, the 4.6 exhaust fits straight on. Does this go straight on to 04-05 version X5s too?
