I searched the archives, and I did not see anyone having the problem I am now experiencing with the ARH in my X.
Last year at this time, my car was leaning to one side, or falling down completely on both front wheels. The stealer replaced both front shocks and the control module. I continued to intermittently see a difference of about 1-1/4", from one side to the other, when parked on level ground.
2 weeks ago, I bring the car in for oil leaks. When I walk up to it in the service drive, the right side is more than 1 foot higher than the left.
The SA immediately has the car checked for fault codes, NOTHING shows up.
The stealer trouble shoots the car the next day, find a "pinched wire" behind the glove box, and the car returns to normal ride level. They think they have fixed it. I pick up the car that evening, drive a few miles and the entire car is less than an 1/8" off the tires (looks very cool).
I take the car back the next morning, Friday, the SA is shocked. By the time they get around to it Monday, the level is normal. They test it for a few days, and find the voltage at the sensor is lower at the right front wheel. They replace the wheel bearing and check the car for a day, it seems fine.
I pick up the car yesterday, Friday, and park it at my office for a few hours. When I come out, the car is sitting on the tires all the way around.
Back to the stealer I go.
I thought I would share this experience in case someone else is having the same demons.
The stealer has been good to me with BMW loaners most of the time. I got to drive a 335i for the last week, very nice. I miss my X though. I want to go bike riding in the mountains next week and my X has the hitch mount rack. It looks I may be driving the Mini instead.
