Here's some pics of my wheel. Disregard the wiring mess... I'm installing some electronic goodies.

1st - if you are under warranty, by all meansm get the dealer to replace it

Myself, I just replaced my '01 original sport wheel with an M5 sport wheel per the DIY instructions here on this website - it's actually smaller dia than the one I took off and feels great - (pics in lounge, on the road again)

Just had this replaced under warranty, they didn't actually replace the wheel, but just the separate part that comes off that was peeling. It is a pretty cheap part too I believe, they replaced part #2 on mine:

Ca911-- this is very helpful, thanks. Part number 2 is definitily the culperit on my wheel, so I will ask my dealer to replace it. Even if my CPO warranty doesn't cover it, it doesn't look that expensive. Thanks.

I had one of the WORST service experiences of my life there, complete nightmare. I'll never ever ever go back!

Went to Lauderdale Imports for the last warranty visit in October to correct Braman's mistakes. The wheel trim was only slightly peeling in the lower corner... was barely noticeable but they replaced it no questions asked.

The good news is the trim is <$30 so it's still a cheap fix if you're already out of warranty. When this one begins to peel though, I'm going to have it coated by this guy to match the rest of the wood trim:

The dealer replaced mine too. He said it was due to wear/rubbing but he had to list it down as peeling or it wouldn't be covered. Smart guy and has been a very good SM for me so far.
