is radio covered under extended warranty
i have a 05 3.0 and the l.e.d. on my radio is starting to burn out one after another the last few months. i have an extended warranty through bmw and was wondering if anyone knows if it is covered or is it considered normal wear and tear. my previous bmw dealer back in charleston, sc was hit and miss with what they wanted to cover but i just relocated to the bay area. does anyone have any ideas and could you recommend a good dealer or independent.

if your extended warranty is the CPO warranty it is unfortunately not covered:
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...otCovered.aspx however, the LED pixels dying is a common issue with BMW displays, you may give it a try as I have heard that many dealers will offer a goodwill repair through BMWNA. As far as a Bay Area Dealer, I would try SF BMW having been to all of the dealers in the area they seem to be the one who does the most cover the most as far as warranty work goes. Their service isn't the best, but they cover the most. oh and :xoutpost:
