Help needed
i have E53 4.4 2000 with 130 thousand KM. i bought 6 months ago, the car drives great. i have only this continious problem with the Fuel level sensor, the part that positioned in the tank under the back seat. i change it 3 times in the same month. The work is done at the dealer. he even change it the second time at his own cost. The problem is the sensor works fine, after few fill ups of the tank.. the needle just goes down and wont come up... when checking... the sensor, which is plastic is broken from the middle... Any ideas... thanks in advance... |

if there are physicl breaks, then there must be some force applied for some reason. if you can't figure it out then just reset your trip meter each fill and drive without the guage.
our 323 had an issue that the guage in the cluster was not always making contact. took it out, stuffed foil around the contact pins and it worked great! good luck |
