new forum member my x5 4.4i

hi fellow x5 members. my names tony as my user says and i hope to be welcomed amongst you all and to learn as much as you guys do already.i've been wanting to post my X for awhile. i'm 16 yrs old so i might be pretty young compared to some of you guys haha. but my dad had purchased a X5 for me since a year ago. i got my license about 3months ago and i've been driving the BMW for quite awhile now and i love it.

i've had a few problems with the car, regulators, catalytic converter, and now recently water pump and radiator grill. even with all these troubles i still love this car compared to other cars i've driven since my dad's a mechanic.

so lets get on with the pics instead of all these words
[i am no photographer so sorry about the pics]

i used to dislike this color and disliked the fact that my car was an 00' model which didnt had the (facelift?) if thats whats its called. but i grew to love this color and how it look and especially since its a 4.4

i've been researching and looking thru x5world alot and once i get a job i'd prolly spend money modding the X such as tinting the windows, new muffler and some more.

thnx for looking and i'd love to answer any comments or anything

Nice X Tony, welcome to X5world!

There are so many modifications for the pre- facelift model X5 to make it look better. Look at X5dawg's X. It looks amazing.

btw, my cousin is 15 and he always uses this account.

I like the color. Nice ride. I had a 72 Impala when I was 16 but that was more than 30 years ago.

sorry for resurrecting my thread from the dead but i think people would love pictures lol

i just got into an accident on Main St. driving back home. it was a one lane and someone was waiting to turn left into a street. so there was someone infront of me and she hit the brake and i slowly went for mine, then i started hearing screeching from the brakes behind and i got hit by a 73' pontiac...grand prix maybe? after that i got nudged into the lexus infront.

so we pulled over on the side and the lady in the lexus said it was minor problems and shes okay so we exchange numbers just incase and she left. but the guy in the pontiac had his grille area messed up and that was about it. it was his fault but i felt bad because it was such a nice classic and it was properly cared for as i seen from the interior and such. since we didnt want any police interfering or insurance problems we just xchange information and we left. apparently he was daydreaming about the scratch he had on the back of his car which lead to the accident.

sorry for the long paragraphs

cliffs -
*first car infront wanted to take a left on main st.
*car infront braked, i braked
* car behind bumped into me
*i nudged into the car infront
* first car left with xchanging numbers
*car behind was more serious and we xchange stuff
*waiting for dad to see how much it'll cost..hes a mechanic so yeah

on with the pics
dented exhaust, paint chipping, trunk dented

a kind of better pic of the dent and chipping

btw the tow hook piece came off well the covering

bad lighting but the dent

the paint and other stuff

I have the exact same X. But with tinted windows, it gives the car a completely different look. The oxford green is an awesome color.

AND I've had that exact same accident. Total repair costs about 5,500.
