Depends entirely on its state of charge when you parked it, and to some degree,
the ambient temp it sat in. I've parked my X for 2 weeks, many times, with no sweat starting. I used to park my ol'POS co. car in the EWR airport for 2 weeks+ at a time for years...they Always started, but then they weren't BeamER electronics, either, lol. GL,md

I have left my X5 for 3 weeks and had no problem. Although the manual says to use the BMW charger if parked for more than 2 weeks.

On my 2003 X5,I am currently charging my oem 90Amps battery after leaving
the car in my garage for 2.5 weeks.I am charging it at a low rate of 5 Amps per hour for a total of 18 hours!!!There are 3 colour codes on the battery to determine its state,GREEN=Fully charged,BLACK=Discharged,YELLOW=Replace it....When charging it ,it only starts to show a faint green after some 14 hours!!!!!Hope this info is helpful. |
