The wait is still killing me

The 4.6is is still not ready. I am going to be out of town all next week, so they will have 2 weeks to perfect it. These are the things that need to be addressed.

2 pretty good size dings in the hood by the roundel - hood repainted and is complete. I dont think I have ever seen the hood repainted on a car that looks this good. It is phenominal. - completed

CPO the car and service 1 inspection - completed

New rotors and pads - completed

A couple of miscellaneous scratches and dings on the body and bumper. These will come out.

repair or replace front left wheel due to curb rash

replace valve covers due to paint bubbling on the front of the cover. Warranty.

Detail inside and out - almost done

I will be back late Friday and pick it up on Saturday. Its a good thing I am going to be out of town...I would be up there everyday harassing them...At least than can take their time and get it done right.

I am like a kid getting to go to the toy store...I own the toy..and I cant even play with it....its killing me.

Things that will be at the house waiting for it when it gets here.

M steering wheel - on its way from crevier
M alumimun pedals - here
Bluetooth phone kit - here
MKIV DVD NAV computer upgrade - here
Zaino Claybar treatment - here
Aluminum Running boards - This will be a few weeks down the road. I still need to decide if I want the front flares or not.

I promise...pics will be posted by next weekend....I know..its killing me too...

Insurance company would not let me take it out of the car without replacing it with another wheel. I no longer have access to the car so I couldnt get it now anyway...plus...they paid me for it so its not that big of a deal.

I certainely understand the frustration of owning a toy which you cannot play with. A month or so ago I had to leave my X5 for 2 weeks for the cooling circuit to be replaced (everything ...radiator, water pump, hoses, etc...). Like you I felt like a little kid waiting for his toy back. I am in my 40s and sometime I see myself acting like a kid with this car, unbelievable.
