After All My Hard Work

I spent my whole Thanksgiving trying to place these AE's, disassemble my entire car, take out waffles, etc. and before mounting the lights decide to test them, find out Umnitza sold me a defective light. I played around with it and theres no use, so Im really hoping they install these for free because this will be my second 3 hour trip to their store.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it they would be appreciated, or if anyone has been through this process and knows who to talk to, etc.

Special thanks to zerochief for preventing me from electrecuting myself.

This is definitely the biggest PITA mod!

How are the lights defective? Are you sure it's the AE's and not just bad ballasts?

OMG. Umnitza again.

You should test the parts before you start all those work for this kind of DIY though. Maybe it's just the ballast that powers the angel eye rings. Unless they promise to install it for you otherwise, I wouldn't drive 3 hours just to get another replacement. They should just mail you a replacement for you and then you mail the defective one back to them.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
One thing I have learned from the various threads on this forum is not to use umnitza... I have not heard of one satisfied customer yet!

But after you get it all worked out. (hopefully they actually take care of you) Please post pics as I am soon to be doing this myself.

Yea, I tryed every combination of AE connections, do you guys know a way to test the ballasts?
And this by far the biggest PITA installation, Matt the guy at Umnitza, apparantley the CEO as well, told me to cut off the notch at the bottom of the AE's, and me not thinking, did it so i figure now i have no mounting area and have to rely on glue.
It was definitely my bad for not checking before, I checked 2 before, didnt have the sense to test all 4 LOL, but if it is the ballasts I hope theres a way to fix it.
I will definitely post pics the next time i do this, I have it pretty much figured out, and I think the mail idea is a good idea, I really hope they can install for free, if not, ive been down the road once not a big deal.

Thanks for the help!
