Trying to get Wurth paint to match on 4.8iS rims
Let my nephew drive my X and poor kid had a moment and kerbed an alloy parking. He seriously could not have felt worse, I am sure he was genuinely going to barf.
I have done a nice repair job per the 'NASA paint repair' link and painted with the Wurth paint and laquer but it is too light. Anyone has any success matching ? The rims are stock 4.8iS 20s and I was wondering perhaps about a coat of a graphite first ? David |

The new paint is lighter looking because it's cleaner than what's on there now probably. Lol. All kidding aside, you might just have to blend it in more by spraying a little wider area. I've used the Wurth on several repairs and have always had good results. To get a perfect match would probably require painting the whole wheel though.
