Purchasing 2006 X 5
Hi all, I will be purchasing a 2006 x5 to replace a Nissan lease due back in Feb. Current prices range from 32-36K depending on trim/options. Will there be a big advantage to waiting until the calendar flips to Jan 09, then the car technically becomes one year older. Wondering if I will get a better deal. Thoughts? I'm not financing through BMW so the end of year deadline to get the good financing is not an issue.
Thanks for your help, looking forward to your advice. |

With the way the economy is, it is hard to say.... I do know that right now is a great time to purchase if you can because with the state of the economy you can go to about any car lot with a pre-approved loan or cash and just about name your price as long as it is reasonable....

At the same time though, gas prices are dropping and therefore SUV prices might not be dropping as low as they previously were.

Technically yes you should get a price reduction but in reality IMHO it won't make a big difference in the sales price. SUV sales usually get a tick up in sales before/during winter season.
I think it will make a bigger difference if you buy it near the end of any month and bargain hard. Good luck on getting your X! |
