Need Help - Name this part!
I noticed this part lying on my driveway the other day. I wasn't quite sure where its from. I suspect it's from the X, since I haven't had any other cars in the driveway.

I suspect it's somethng from the steering, probably a bushing on the sway bar.

Anyone recognize it? I have a 2003 4.4

Not unless BMW has secretly added VW parts to your car. I guess they are both of German design...

It looks like a gromet for wires going between the engine and firewall.

It is a rubber grommet for wiring to pass through a bulkhead. Looks like the grommet for the trailer hitch area or rear hatch area.

Thanks everyone, You can't really make out the VW sign when your looking at it up close. Seems the picture is clearer than reality!
