Hey guys, I am new. 4.8 questions?

Hey guys, I am new to this forum, just signed up today…. It will be with great pleasure to get to know you guys. At the moment I am a member of the Acura-legend.com forum, I am well known there and hope to be here as well. Right now I am in the market for a X5 4.8is, I will be selling my precious Acura Legend Sedan, keeping the coup, but am getting a 4.8is. I am trying to look for some info on the 4.8 but seem to not be able to find much. I guess my main concern is the MPG, what is it like? I don’t drive hard, live in the Bronx, my office is in Brooklyn and at times I take drives to Connecticut and further. My family is growing and I need something larger, anything I should know before I buy? Here are some questions?
1) What is the rated MPG for the 4.8is?
2) What can be done to add more MPG to it?
3) Is it worth buying that expensive air intake upgrade on ebay?
4) What model 4.8 should I look for, is there something else other than the is?
Please help me with info guys, thanks a lot…
