Rusty Lugnuts?

As you may have seen in other threads, we are searching for a 'CPO' X5 for my wife. We are looking at an '06 SP, PP, CW, Etc. with 44K miles that appears to be in pretty nice condition. I was curious how common it is to find X5's with rusty lugnuts, and if this is an indication of other corrosion problems to be worried about? Again, I searched, but didn't find anything. Thanks again..

P.S. -- I really hate all the games and lies dealers play/use. Its a nice truck, but they went as far as to tell us (unsolicited) that it has new tires on it, part of their certification process. Except that the tires clearly have a '05 manufactuer date code, are ozone cracked and have signifigant tread wear (I think they are original fitment in fact). What is up with this crap?!?

Fwiw, our 7 1/2 yr old '01 still has decent black lug bolts...
Maybe lots of salt air or winter driving or...since tire rotation
is not rec'd it shouldn't be from Biff & Buffy getting their tires
rotated every other month. Weird. Others may have ideas.

As for the Stlr games, you are dipping into the unfortunate aspect
of what many of them do behind the curtain.

Imo, keep looking long and hard: the lots are brimming with Xs and
the game is on your side. You might also ask the several MaryLanders
here on the Board what Stlr(s) they rec'd for you to search.

And, don't even think about any X without some orig warranty left, in
combo with CPO.
