I asked before and I was directed to the GENERAL INFO & GUIDEShowever I couldn’t find a resolution. The navigation screen on my X5 2002 4.4i doesn’t have anymore background light. In the night time I cannot see the information on the screen. Anyone has any idea what might have triggered this or how can I fix it....avoiding buying a new one thanks |

Might need a new LCD display. Check the connector in the back of it first.

What for. Just pop the knobs off. Remove the trim piece and unscrew the unit as one piece. Don't forget to pull the fuse beforehand.

Read the aux input cable installation on the main page. It requires the same removal procedure you need to do. Also look at the BMW document explaining the same install. Those two documents are all you'll need.
