newbie, plz help?!:)

hey guys
i just need some help,
im living in lebanon, just bought a 2001 x5 3.0 sport today
im just a lill confused here, ive been throught that u can upgrade ure NAV OS, here in lebanon we dont have GPS maps, im thinking of cracking or makin it myself, i have a pc background.
but the question is, can i upgrade my computer software, i dont like how the OS looks like, and is there a way to add a slapsh screen, i only have a slpash screen wich is the date and time, "3-1/20" is the sw, if that helps?
plz give me answers guys

V32 will do the same for your Mk3 as V22. There is a link to that in the nav forum.
