2 Mod Favorites

What would be your 2 favorite mods you've done to YOUR OWN ride? 1 for personalizing(appearance-wise) and 1 for performance. There's so many out there, just conducting a survey and might see something I like. Mine so far are:

Carbon Fiber Door Pillars - I have no regrets on this
Style 87 Chrome 20's - My top FAV

M Sport/M3/M5 steering wheel is far and away the best mod, especially for the buck. It's something you use every single moment of your X5 experience. HP increase: 57.

I retrofitted Anthracite Maple wood myself and it was a satisfying DIY that looks great. It's also unique because my X5 is an '02 and that color of trim was not available that year. HP increase: 33 if 94 octane gas is used.

I've got other mods but these two are simple pleasures.

I haven't done too many mods yet (and the cost of things are already scaring me :P ), but ...

I love the M Steering wheel (E46 style) that I installed. I was originally was going to retrofit to my e36 318ti, but when I got the E53 X5, it became a direct swap and a no-brainer (I took the plunge to install it when the battery up and died).

I just placed orders for Intravee II, Alpine KCA-420i, CableJive 6' extension, Scocshe iPhone 3G charge adapter and soon a spec dock so I can iPod/iPhone the X5. This should make trips to the mountains to ski much more enjoyable and I'm very much looking forward to having all of it installed.

Performance? Dedicated winter tires with their own winter rims. Pirelli Scorp Snow and Ice. The difference is amazing from all seasons. And we rarely get snow.... Total cost $650 including rims! U gotta LOVE craigslist!!!

Other mod. DICE unit for ipod. Has Aux input for watching DVD's off the laptop as well...$80 self install (easy) off Ebay. (local p/u).

Could you be more specific with the rims?

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Exhaust silencer removed for small resonators (shoulda went x-pipe) but still sounds great.

Smoked tail lights gave a new, meaner look to the rear or ol' girl.

Next up will be either AFE CAI or JL stealth box 10"er.
