Price Check - 2001 X5 4.4 with 33K miles

Well the time is here for my X5 to be sold. We went with a Range Rover Sport for my wife, and I plan on getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. I plan to put the X5 up for sale locally (NJ) in February, and would appreciate thoughts on value. It is a 2001 4.4 with NAV, sport, premium, shades, heated seats, 19in wheels and only 33,000 miles. Silver with gray interior. It is in excellent condtion, dealer serviced / maintained. It shows really well, except for a couple of door dings and a few scratches (it's been mostly used as my station car). The driver seat does have a mark, and the center ashtray doesn't close. Other than that, it is great, and I have really enjoyed it. No paint work, non smoker. Please let me know your thoughts on price. Thanks so much.

Bruce

no more than 14k for a fair price due to the economy, check kbb.com or nada.com

I don't think so. with only 33k miles and it's 4.4, he can probably get 20k+

96ce, if you're selling for just 14k, let me know. I'll buy it as spare car.

Mine had 54000 on it. It was on the lot for 21900. I paid a lot less. That was last August.

I would think upper teens.

Thanks for all of the replies

This is a big help. I think I've established a low of $14,000 and a high of about $20,000, and suspect it'll likely go at a price in between. Thanks again folks.

mid teens?
depends on bumpers, how strong tranny is. It may be low miles, its still a V8 BMW without a warranty. YMMV.

its a 15k-17k truck.. sales are low and that brings prices down.
Theres 2004 3.0 50k out here for 19k-21k.
About 3-4 months ago it was worth 20k or very close to it..

im not sayin you wont get 20k but average price is 15-17k

I've been looking for a used x5 for a few weeks now, I agree with dsm2925 comments. But sounds like a nice car.

For me, it would have to be priced attractive to offset the '04+ with upgrades and better gas mileage.
