BMW MkIV SAT NAV DISKS
Just wanted some advice, i have a disk for my Sat Nav that a friend gave me that is a 2008-1 Europe Road maps - High from what i can make out it is a copy as the cover is not the same as my 2005 disc but am unsure.
Will this work on my 55 Plate E53 X5 with Sat Nav - It has the cassette player behind the display and is the 16.9 screen is this a MkIV as i am unsure. If it is a copy is there anyway it could damage the DVD Drive as it is just media. Would there be firmware upgrades on the disc that install automatically. Any help would be great.

get onto the settings screen press and hold the menu button for 10 sec or untill the next menu comes up ..... top right of the screen should see a number example SW 4 1/00 which means it's a MK4 with the latest fireware = 100.
