When could you get power folding mirrors?

Looking to settle a bet here. What year could you get power folding mirrors in the US? I've been told 02 and seen a lot of 02s with it, but a friend of mine swears that it was later. Who can settle this?

I do know that it comes on the 03 X5's, because I have them.

pretty sure it starts with 2003 year models in US. European models had it before then.
