cold weather gremlins

hi everyone last night and for the next few days very cold weather here in nyc..last night dipped to 15-18 degrees..i started her up this morning and pixels in info dispaly in instrument cluster were not all illuminated and as you switched to the various displays it took a few seconds for all the pixels to illuminate...once she warmed up they were ok but when..i drove about 15 minutes to the store and when i shut her off before i removed the key the display showed low coolant level..i removed key and started her up and it did not come back...also when i first started her up did not get exterior temp warning..just wanted to share my info..2005 x5 4.4 with 17k....thanks to all..rob

During the previous cold snap -10 or so - my pixels also got sluggish - some brighter than others but they came back to normal when warmed up - I did not get any error messages or other love notes from the car other than weak pixels. I had a 535i that did this also - I sold it when I got divorced - are weak pixels a forewarning of divorce?

That's normal I think ... the message screen on my 2007 exploder reacts sluggishly too ... but only in very cold weather.
